S’mores are a classic campfire treat that are easy to make and enjoyed by many. Here’s a simple recipe with a twist to make the most delicious s’mores:
Ingredients:
- Graham Crackers
- Chocolate Covered Pretzels and/or Chocolate bars
- Marshmallows
- Ice Cream Sandwiches
Equipment:
- Long skewers or roasting sticks
- Campfire or fire pit
- A fireside cooking rack/grate
Instructions:
- Start by breaking the graham crackers in half, so you have two square pieces for each s’more.
- Place a piece of chocolate covered pretzel on one half of the graham cracker.
- Place both halves of the graham crackers on the cooking rack or grate to warm the graham crackers and chocolate.
- Roast a marshmallow over the campfire until it is golden brown and gooey.
- Place the roasted marshmallow on top of the chocolate covered pretzel.
- Carefully slide the skewer or roasting stick out of the marshmallow.
- Take one half of an ice cream sandwich and place on top of the roasted marshmallow.
- Use the other half of the graham cracker to gently press down on the ice cream sandwich and marshmallow and create a sandwich.
- Enjoy your delicious Sawed After S’more while it is still warm and gooey!
Tips:
- Be careful when roasting marshmallows over the fire, as they can quickly catch fire and burn. Keep a close eye on them and rotate them frequently for even roasting.
